To some of you, this may come across like me being selfish. And maybe it is, but I have become accustomed to a certain lifestyle. And that lifestyle is one where I date someone for a year or two, but really never any longer than that. I fall in love just like anyone else, but after a few years the feelings wear off and I am ready to move on.

The one I am dating now and I have been together for about a year now. And I do love her. The subject of children did come up, and she knows that I am in no way interested in having anything to do with that. She seemed not to be interested in that idea either, so we have been as careful as any other couple in this position. She has been taking birth control pills.

But her monthly visitor, Aunt Flo never showed up last month. And then a few weeks later her boobs started getting tender and a little swollen. When she started getting sick for no reason at all I started to panic for a very good reason. These are all signs that somebody is pregnant! So she went down to Walgreens and picked up one of those home pregnancy tests. She went off to the bathroom and performed the test, and the thing that was supposed to either stay white or turn dark blue. But it didn’t stay very white, but it didn’t turn very blue. So tomorrow we go to the clinic.

If she is pregnant, there are still many options. She can get an abortion or give the baby up for adoption. I know this is a scary time, but just try to be there for her.

This happend to my girlfriend and me. She was taking the Birth Control Pill and she ended up getting pregnant. It was totally unexpected and i was scared out of my mind. Well we ended up having a little girl and she is the best thing that has ever happend to me. I wish you two the best of luck and hope everything work out.

Alot of birth control pills are only 97-98 percent affective. There is still a 2-3 percent chance she could have gotten pregnant. If she even missed one day of her pills that makes the birth control less effective It is uncommon to get pregnant while on birth control but it has happend before.

Sorry, but it does sound like you are being selfish. If you were so concerned about her not getting pregnant, you should have been using a back-up method of birth control. Why is it always the woman’s responsibility? You are equally responsible for the situation.

You must be totally freaking out right now and I would not blame you. I do not think that it is being selfish that you do not want to have kids right now. I hope she is not pregnant for your sake.

Guess what dude. Chances are you are going to be a dad. I don’t know what your beliefs are regarding having kids, but if your girlfriend wants to keep the kid, you need to man up and be the kids dad. That doesn’t mean you have to stay with the girl. However, it does mean that you become your baby’s dad.

You know what, you did the deed, you’re the kids father. It wasn’t your fault, it wasn’t hers, but you’re both in this situation together. Go to the doctor, see what happens, and move forward in a responsible way. Easy as that.
