Does the birth control patch ORTHO EVRA stop periods or lighten them? What are the side effects?

I’m on the Depo and am thinking of switching to the patch. What other Birth Control Methods would STOP periods or even LIGHTEN them because I originally got on the Depo because of SEVERE HEAVY periods.

And then having twins? Cause it happened to my mom with me and my brother. My dad wore a condom, mom was on the pill, and used some of that foam….. and here we are, 15 years later
